Insulation
Did you know Installing Loft Insulation can reduce energy bills by up to £215 per Year
Types of insulation
Loft insulation
We install insulation to comply with building regulations. The requirement is 270mm minimum thickness. The insulation is applied in the joists and uses lap vents where applicable to ensure adequate airflow. Our expert team ensures this is done with quality wormanship.
Room in roof insulation
Room in roof requires 150mm or more insulation in all elements. This is applied in sloping ceilings and is a requirement when installing other measures to bring the EPC rating to minimum C
Internal wall insulation
This insulation is used for solid brick or sandstone/limestone homes. 100mm installed thickness is used for all interal walls to prevent heat from escaping.
Trickle vents
Did you know, from 2022 any new windows installed are required to have trickle vents.
Before any insulation works can be carried out, trickle vents and extractors fans must be installed within the property.
Building regulations
According to building regulations, for ECO funding every property must have adequate roof and wall insulation. This needs to be at a depth sufficient to boiler and first time central heating being installed.
You can receive this for free by processing an application for data match through ECO funding for properties with EFG Rating.
